Mary Ruth Harmon Lowe age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019 in the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.

Mrs. Lowe was born in Carroll County, Virginia on October 18, 1931 to Charlie Christopher and Laura Isom Harmon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Raymond Lowe.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law David and Sharon Lowe of Norwood, North Carolina; Greg and Marilyn Lowe of Lawrenceville, Georgia; three  grandchildren and spouses Jennifer and Adam Stockwell;  Alex and Christina Lowe all of Dacula, Georgia;  Whitley Rose Hui Lowe of Norwood, North Carolina; three great-grandchildren  Will Stockwell; Ben Stockwell  and Olivia Lowe; brother and sister-in-law James and Nellie Harmon of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Oakland Cemetery with the Rev. David Lowe officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations to the Woltz Hospice Home, 934 Zephyr Road, Dobson, North Carolina 27017.
