Mary Hanks Combs, age 85 formerly of Martinsville, VA passed away Friday, June 15, 2012 in Lawrenceville, GA where she has resided for the past two years.
Mary was born on July 10, 1926 in Carroll County, VA to Lloyd M. Hanks and Edna Calloway Hanks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Earl Combs; her sisters, Ethel Williams and Hazel Larrowe; and brothers, Roy Hanks and Elmer Hanks.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis E. and Marilena G. (Leny) Combs of Duluth, GA; sister, Ella Farmer of Independence, VA; brother, Arnold Hanks of Cana, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in Monta Vista Memory Gardens in Galax, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until time for the service.
