Mary Judy Gravley age 57 of Elk Creek, Virginia passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Wythe County Community Hospital.
Mary was born on January 28, 1960 in Reidsville, North Carolina to Elmo R. and Mary Sue Christley Melton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Jerry Wade Melton and Danny Melton.
She is survived by her husband Charles E. Gravley of Elk Creek, Virginia; daughter Lauren N. Byrd of Elk Creek, Virginia; step-sons Eric Gravley and Jesse Gravley both of Galax, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Joyce and Virgil Funk of Elk Creek, Virginia; Becky and Troy Stamper of Wytheville, Virginia; Carolyn and Jimmy Valiant of Shawsville, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Darrell and Linda Melton of Elk Creek, Virginia; sisters-in-law Libby Melton of Independence, Virginia; Toni Melton of Wytheville, Virginia; three step-grandchildren; aunts Barbara Christley of Greensboro, North Carolina and Mildred Christley of Galax, Virginia; mother-in-law Edith Gravley; brothers-in-law Darrell Gravley and Alan Gravley all of Galax, Virginia.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Summerfield Cemetery with Darrell Melton officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
