Mary Elizabeth (Libby) Joines age 83 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026 in the Forsyth Medical Center.
Mrs. Joines was born in Grayson County, Virginia on October 12, 1942 to Lester and Mable Isom Wooten.
She is survived by her husband Jackie Joines of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Mitchell and Ginger Joines of Warrensville, North Carolina; three grandchildren Derrick (Julian) Joines; Stephanie Joines and Devon Waltman; one niece Cathy Larrowe and one nephew Brian Shupe.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Sam Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the Joines Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Joines Cemetery.
