Mary Elizabeth Edwards' Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Edwards of Galax, Virginia, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012 at Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Edwards was born Oct. 8, 1930 in Grayson County, Virginia to Garnett and Pearl Diamond Carico.
She is survived by husband, Joe Reed Edwards, Galax, Virginia; sisters, Shirley DeZern and Ina Lowe of Galax, Virginia; brother in-law and spouse, Bill and Velda Edwards, Galax, Virginia; five nephews, Craig DeZern, Grant DeZern, Sonny Edwards, Doug Edwards and Joe David Edwards. Five great nieces & nephews, also, survive.
The funeral service will be held at the Hillcrest Baptist Church, Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM.
Burial will follow in the Felts Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service at the church. The Rev. James Cowley will be the officiating minister.
