Mary Ellen Cox, 56, Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 31 at her home.
She was born December 8, 1951 in Carroll County, Virginia to Ubert Everrette & Edna Olean Vaughan Cox.
She is survived by her fiancé Kyle Mabe of Galax; five sisters and brothers-in-law: Eva Sue Sizemore of Galax; Nancy & Roger Lineberry of the Baywood Section of Galax; Shirley & Bill Koch of Atlantic Beach, North Carolina; Connie & Preston Newman of the Baywood Section of Galax; and Ann & Richard Price of Low Gap, North Carolina; one brother & sister-in-law: Nelson & Iva Jean Cox of Hillsville.
Several nieces & nephews also survive along with special cousins Jewel Atkins and Ruby Goad.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 o'clock at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Claude Holderfield officiating.
