Mary Lee Brown Sharp's Obituary
Mary Lee Brown Sharp age 77 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Sharp was born on November 20, 1934 in Grayson County, Virginia to William and Eva Beckner Brown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Donald Sharp.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Audrey and Kenneth Funk of Elk Creek, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law Darin and Laura Sharp; Donald Sharp of all of Galax, Virginia; sisters Wanda Sue Roberts and Linda Burnette both of Galax, Virginia; three grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharp Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Pipers Gap Rescue Squad.
