Mary Ethel Blair age 97 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday May 19, 2015 in the Blue Ridge-Golden Living Center.
Mrs. Blair was born in Clyde, North Carolina on May 20, 1917 to Chapel and Letha Hollingsworth Morris. In addition to his parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Walter Blair.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jimmy Lee and Helen Thompson Blair of Galax, Virginia; step-son and wife William and Mary Helen Blair of Woodlawn, Virginia; granddaughter Carol Blair Melton of Pleasant Garden, North Carolina; two great-grandchildren Johnathan Melton and Joshua Melton; several nieces and nephews; several step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; one special sister Iretta Thompson Littleton.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Trinity Baptist Church with Brother Garry Adams and Brother Chuck Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Trinity Baptist Church.
