Marvin Dennis Higgins age 65 of Galax Virginia passed away Thursday December 30, 2021 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Marvin was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 23, 1956 to Thomas Earl and Grace Elaine Woodel Higgins.

In addition to his mother Grace Elaine Woodel Higgins of Galax, Virginia, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Robert Earl and Tiffany Higgins of Galax, Virginia; fiancee' Elizabeth Melton of Independence, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Teresa and Clyde Combs; Mary and Jimmy Harmon; Lisa and Tom Singleton; Arlene and Steve Wilmouth; Lorrie and William Sexton all of Galax, Virginia; brother Earl William Higgins of Hillsville, Virginia;  four grandchildren; Harper Higgins; Taylor Higgins; Kayden Higgins and Gavin Higgins; several nieces and nephews; longtime friends David Warf and Mike Bobbitt.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 3:00 PM in the Bishops Chapel Church with Pastor Jimmy Harmon and Tom Singleton officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Bishops Chapel Church.
