Marvin (Bo) Lester Arnold, Jr. age 64 of Galax, Va. passed away Thursday, March 13,2008 at the VA Medical Center in Salem, Va.. Mr. Arnold was born on March 30, 1943 in Grayson County, Va. to Marvin Lester Arnold, Sr. & Edna Sutherland Arnold. Mr. Arnold was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church; former chairman of Carroll County Republican party; secretary of American Red Cross and past chairman of Red Cross Blood Program for 30 years; Commander of DAV; and a member of Galax Jaycees and Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife Carol Ann Arnold of Galax, Va.; daughter & son-in-law Cheryl & Greg Bolen of Hillsville, Va.; sisters & brother-in-law Linda Vaughn of Alexandria, Va.; Anne & Joe Didio of Smithfield, Va.; Bonnie Arnold of Woodlawn, Va.; brothers Terry Arnold of Fancy Gap, Va.; David Arnold of Fries, Va.; three grandchildren Tiffannie Perry; Whitney Perry & Alan Bolen; several nieces & nephews; brother-in-law & wife Ronnie & Peggy Sisk.. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev. James Cowley officiating. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior the funeral service. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery with Military Rites by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
