Marty Allen Fields age 41 of Galax, Virginia passed away
Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at his home. Marty was born in Grayson County, Va. on December 11, 1966 to David Daniel & Barbara Pope Fields. He is survived by his wife Lisa Fields of Galax, Va.; step-sons Patrick Patton of Galax, Va.; Andrew Roberts of Florida, aunt Mary Bartlett of Salem, Va.; uncles Lloyd Pope of Galax, Va.; J.C. Fields of Mt. Airy, N.C.; Thomas Fields of Columbia S.C.; Sam Fields of Hillsville, Va.sisters-in-law Talma Rutherford of Clinton, Ohio; Karen Smith of Galax, Va.; Bonnie Smith of Hillsville, Va.; brothers-in-law Jerry Smith of Hillsville, Va.; Larry Smith of Galax, Va.. A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 4, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Crab Creek Cemetery with Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six unil eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
