Martha Bell Waddell Williams, 80, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 in the Select Specialty Hospital (Forsyth Memorial) in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Martha was born in Wythe County, Virginia on August 28, 1933 to the late Ira F. Waddell and Mary Edith Eastwood Waddell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Edward Williams.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law: Brenda and Curtis Lawson of Fries; Granddaughter and spouse Tana & David Isom of Fries; two great grandsons Joshua Edward Hayes and Jeremiah David Isom both of Fries; great-great grandson Jaydence Michael Hayes of Independence, Virginia; two step great grandsons: Dustin Isom of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Chris Isom of Top Sail Beach, North Carolina; two sisters Edna Lee Bass and Mary W. Hancock both of Wytheville, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Mason & Donna Waddell of Ashland, Kentucky; sister-in-law: Mary Sizemore of Damascus, Virginia; brother-in-law and spouse: George (Mutt) & Bernice Williams of Fries; seven(7) nieces and eleven (11) nephews; two special friends Mary Martin and Mary K. Vaughan both of Fries.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the North Fries Tabernacle with Rev. Robert Adams and Rev. Gale Bolt officiating. Interment will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday (January 3) evening from 6 PM until 8 PM at the church.
