Martha Helen Criner's Obituary
Martha Helen Criner age 93 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. Criner was born on June 28, 1915 in Wythe County, Virginia to Erasmus & Tabitha Gravley Akers.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Edward Criner and three sons Lawrence Criner, Archie Criner and Havis Criner.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Shannon & Fred Catron of Mooresville, North Carolina; son & daughter-in-law Herbert Willard & Faye Criner of Fries, Va.; sister Beatrice Littreal of Madisonville, Tennessee; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two step-grandsons; five step-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; special caregivers Kenneth & Cherokee Tobler.
The funeral service will be held Friday, June 12, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Rick Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
