Our angel Martha Vandella Miller Porter Anderson age 90 of Woodlawn, Virginia stepped into her Heavenly Home on Thursday, November 5, 2015
to forever be with Jesus. The call was made from the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Carroll County, Virginia on October 15, 1925 to Craig and Della Sumner Miller. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Raymond Porter; son Richard Porter; sisters Eula Fulk, Ada Burcham and Mary Byrd; brothers Roy, Elmer, Harlie, Millard and Earl Miller.

She is survived by her husband Carl Yost Anderson of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Lois and David Wilson of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; step-children and spouses Erma and Mike Rosso of Galax, Virginia; Debbie Burns of Arcadia, Florida; Titus and Sharon Anderson of Woodlawn, Virginia; Marty Anderson of Fairmont, West Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Rebecca and Russell Austin; Donna and Mark Taylor; Cindy Porter; Nathan and Lynn Porter; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; extended family members Fonda LeClair and Jutta Green.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Galax Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Titus Anderson and Russell Austin officiating. Burial will follow in the Crooked Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 noon until time for the funeral service at the Galax Church of God of Prophecy.
