Marie Pearman age 92 of Ivanhoe, Virginia passed away Saturday May 19, 2012 in the Grayson Nursing & Rehab Center.

Mrs. Pearman was born in Carroll County, VA. on February 6, 1920 to Tyra Dolphus and Addie Forrest Bourne Shaffner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carlie William Pearman; son Carlie William Pearman, Jr; daughter Hazel Sue Bowman and grandson Robbie Hawks.

She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Daisy & Jim Lambert Fries, VA; sons & daughters-in-law, Ray & Mary Pearman Ivanhoe, VA, Roy Lee & Michelle Pearman Front Royal, VA; daughter-in-law Anita Pearman, Ivanhoe, VA.; son-in-law Roy Bowman Manassas, VA; brothers Earl Shaffner, Coy Shaffner, Kyle Shaffner and Virgil Shaffner all of Fries, VA; grandchildren, Shelia Steen, Bobby Bowman, Frank Hawks, Russ Lambert, Michelle Burroughs, Rose Manuel, Vanessa Huffman, Dreama Kelly, Patricia Worrell, R. J. Pearman, Ryan Pearman, Eric Pearman, Celina Pearman, Jenna Pearman, Crystal Viars; eighteen great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews and a special friend, Mrs. Ella Farmer.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday May 22, 2012 st 2:00 PM at the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time for the funeral service Tuesday. Officiating minister will be Pastor Mike Burton.
