Marie Osborne Lyons' Obituary
Marie Osborne Lyons age 95 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in the Blue Ridge/Golden Living Center.
Mrs. Lyons was born in Grayson County, Virginia on September 13, 1920 to Charlie and Ora Anders Osborne. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Emmett Lyons; daughter Nora L. Beavers; son Marshall Lyons and two brothers Clay Osborne and Junior Osborne.
She is survived by her son Virgil Lyons of Galax, Virginia; granddaughter Dianna Sundance; great-grandchildren Matthew Hipes; Sierra Sipe and Elizabeth Pettry; great-great-grandchild Jace Hipes; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Olivet Union Baptist Church with Elder Herbert Rutherford and Elder Doug Hawks officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Baywood. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
