Marie (Martha) Louise Sawyer age 74 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
Mrs. Sawyer was born on January 11, 1938 in Russell County, Virginia to Charlie Edward and Carrie Vance Reynolds.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law Patricia and James Tolbert of Galax, Virginia; Anita Newman of Rural Retreat, Virginia;
grandchildren and spouses Lee Ann Smythers-Semones and Robert; Christopher Cecil; Autumn Walker & Steven; Shanuel Brown; Justin Brown; Jeannie Adams & Samuel; brothers and sister-in-law Eugene & Lucille Reynolds of Honaker, Virginia; Walter Reynolds of Richlands, Virginia; sisters-in-law Helen Reynolds and Irene Reynolds both of Richlands, Virginia; brother-in-law Willie Sargeant of Honaker, Virginia; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special great-nieces Megan Hayes and Tina Lineberry.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 15,2012 at 2:00 PM In the Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Myron Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Midway Baptist Church.
