Marie Smith Combs age 101 of Galax, VA passed away Sunday August 11, 2024 in the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.
Marie was born May 27,1923, in Grayson county, Virginia to the late Hagar and Ethel Amburn Smith.

ln addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Colen Combs; sisters Ruby Parks and Elsie Leagan; three brothers Wayne, Ray, and Nelson Smith.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Sharlyn and Gary Lowe of Woodlawn, Virginia; two grandchildren Scott Lowe and Shannon (Lisa) Lowe; 4 great grand-children Jessica (Jason Beduhn) Lowe, Tanner (Kimberly) Lowe, Raelyn Lowe and Kylene Lowe; three great-great grandchildren Axel Beduhn, Daxton Beduhn, and baby boy Beduhn;  2 step great-great grandchildren Sadie Kirby and Drew Kirby.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held Thusday, August 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM in  Monta Vista Memory Gardens with Sam Bartlett officiating.  There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
