Marie B. Bickel, 82, of Roanoke, VA passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Bickel was born December 29, 1929 in Carroll County, Virginia to Samuel A. Burnett and Grace L. Pope Burnett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Bickel and sister Mary Ann Burnett.

Mrs. Bickel is survived by her daughter & son-in-law: Loretta & Brian Saxe of Warrenton, Virginia; son & daughter-in-law: Richard W. & Cynthia Bickel of Catawba, South Carolina; sister: Betty B. Lavering of Roanoke; five grandchildren: Jennifer Robertson, Julie Howlett, Jennifer Bickel, Stacie Lee Kennington, Charles Kenningtron; and two great grandchildren Nicholas Kennington and Reece Howlett.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Ron Denson officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
