Obituary

Mariann Ross, devoted wife of Gary Ross, peacefully departed this life February 28, 2019 at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas after a long fought battle with cancer.

Mariann, was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania on December 10, 1950 to Kenneth & Adelaide McCallen.

After graduating from  Latrobe High School in 1969, Mariann attended the Westmoreland School of Nursing 1971 in Pennsylvania.  Mariann, now a Registered Nurse moved to Reno, Nevada in 1975.

Mariann was a Registered Nurse for 33 years at Washoe Medical Center (Renown) & the Reno VA Hospital.

During this time she met the love of her life, Gary Ross and they married on November 23, 1985.

Gary & Mariann were married 33 years and enjoyed their life together with world travel, camping, golfing, friends and champagne brunches.

After their retirement Gary & Mariann moved to The Villages, Florida in 2013 to enjoy their retirement years.

Mariann was a devout Catholic and made Gary promise to continue going to church.

Mariann's easy smile & grace will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Delp Ross, The Villages, Florida; brother Patrick Kenneth McCallen, Blue Ridge, Georgia; stepson Gary James Ross, San Diego, CA & stepdaughter, Rebecca Maureen Devor, San Diego, CA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth & Adelaide McCallen.

Mariann will be laid to rest at Providence Cemetery in Fries, VA on Sunday March 10 th at 3:00 p.m.  A Celebration of Life will be held afterwards at the Hampton Inn in neighboring Galax.

In addition, A Celebration of Life will be held in Reno, Nevada on March 31, 2019 and at Mariann & Gary's home in The Villages, Florida on April 6, 2019.
