Margie Marie Cooley age 90 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Miss Cooley was born in Grayson County, Virginia on May 23, 1928 to John E. and Rose Higgins Cooley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Ruth (Sidney) Combs and a brother Herbert (Irene) Cooley.

She is survived by a niece and her husband Cheryl and Ken Ross of Galax, Virginia; three nephews and their wives Herbert and Rhonda Cooley of  Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; Doug and Melba Cooley of Wytheville, Virginia; Roger and Judy Combs of Radford, Virginia.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Vale United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Coal Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Mt. Vale United Methodist Church.
