Margaret Elizabeth Sharp age 88 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday June 4, 2025 at the Woltz Hospice Home.

Mrs. Sharp was born in Carroll County, Virginia on December 11, 1936 to Rossie Watson.

She is survived by her husband Joe Ray Sharp of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Shannon and Jeff Rutig of Draper, Virginia; sons Michael Sharp of Meadow Bridge, West Virginia; and Patrick Sharp of Woodlawn, Virgina; brother Pete Watson of High Point, North Carolina; three grandchildren Jeb Sharp; Bobby Sharp and Sam Sharp; one great-granddaughter Gwendolyn Elizabeth Sharp; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church at Hillsville, Virginia with Pastor Zeb Hicks and Pastor Michael Shockley  officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the First Baptist Church in Hillsville, Virginia.
