Margaret Price Brannock Rutherford, age 92, of Galax, VA died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015.
Margaret was born Jan. 1, 1923 in Carroll County, VA to Corbett & Ada Pearl Hanks Brannock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Rutherford, and her step-father, Eugene Franklin Beamer and a half-brother Billy Beamer.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Faye Rutherford of Woodlawn, VA; grandchildren, Rhonda Sizemore, Galax, VA, Michael Rutherford, Galax, VA; great-grandchildren, Kristin Hash, Rachel Sizemore, Cory Rutherford, Adam Rutherford; great-great grandchildren, Keaton Hash & Gideon Mullins.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, VA with burial to follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 -9 PM Monday at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Richard Gregory.
