Margaret Jane Hill Ring age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026 in the Northern Surry Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Hill was born on December 5, 1941 in Galax, Virginia to Lloyd and Ruth Burnett Hill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Barney Junior Ring.

She is survived by three sons Jerry Ring; Ricky Ring and Robert Ring all of Galax, Virginia; granddaughter and husband Ashley and Casey Lawrence; three great-grandchildren Mason; Jalynn and Sadie; brothers and sister-in-law Dallas and Janet Hill; Rex Hill all of Galax, Virginia; Roy Hill of Mt. Airy, North Carolina;; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Cindy Paxton officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery at a later date as the weather permits. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
