Margaret Andrews Phipps age 87 of Galax, Va. passed away Friday, January 11, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Phipps was born on November 29, 1920 in Hampton, Va. to Harris G. & Margaret Hoskins Andrews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rex Phipps. She is survived by her daughter Leesa Phipps of Galax, Va.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one niece. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 14, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Galax Presbyterian Church with Dr. Thomas Whartenby officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will greet friends Monday, January 14,2008 from one until service time in the Galax Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
