Marcia Faye Tate Brown age 76 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in the Golden Living/Blue Ridge Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Brown was born in Fries, Virginia on May 31, 1939 to Obie F. and Helen Pearman Tate. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John E. Brown.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Lynn and David Carter of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Pamela and Chuck Moretz of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Tommy and Pam Brown of Galax, Virginia; Jamie and Christy Brown of Woodlawn, Virginia; brother Warren Ray Tate of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law Joyce Tate of Seattle, Washington; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friend Bessie Anders.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with Pastor Myron Dalton officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The family will be gathering at the home of Jamie and Christy Brown, 156 Falcon Drive, Woodlawn, Virginia on Wednesday where friends may call at anytime.
