Mamie Lee Vaughan, 91, of Fries passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 in Waddell Nursing and Rehab, Galax.  Mrs. Vaughan was born November 26, 1930 in Austinville, Virginia to the late William Lambert and Maggie Sharp Lambert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hobert Vaughan, daughter Sherry Kirby, siblings Mary Gunter, Imogene Davidson, Margaret Basford, Earl Lambert, Toby Lambert, Doug Lambert and Harold Lambert.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Susie and Dickie Underwood of Lexington Virginia; son-in-law David Kirby of Galax; grandchildren Robbie Ladd, Tyler and Julia Ladd, Yvette Ladd, and numerous great grandchildren.  Special friend Teresa Burnette also survives.

A graveside service will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Fries Cemetery, East Main Street, Fries, Virginia with Harold Nelson officiating.  There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
