Mamie Ottolene "Ottie" Jennings' Obituary
Mamie Ottolene "Ottie" Jennings age 92 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 in the Woltz Hospice Home.
Miss Jennings was born in Carroll County, Virginia on August 27, 1921 to Doctor Sidney "Doc" and Callie Mae Warf Jennings. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters Jean, Ethel, Stella, Clara Lee and brothers Clarence, Howard and Glen.
She is survived by her brother in law Everett Cox, several special nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the River Hill Christian Church with the Rev. Leo Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the River Hill cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, January 24, 2014 from 6-8PM at the Vaughan Guynn Funeral Home in Galax.
