Mamie Robinson Isom's Obituary
Mamie Robinson Isom age 90 of Independence, Virginia passed away Friday, June 5, 2009 in Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Isom was born in Galax, Virginia on December 18, 1918 to Kenny & Ida Burnett Robinson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Palmer Stoneman and then Ottie Isom and her brother Johnny Robinson; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
She is survived by her children William Robert Stoneman of Mt. Airy, N.C.; Alice Ann Cain of Galax, Va. and Carl Lee Stoneman of Salem, Va.; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 3:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Independence Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home and anytime at 130 Oak Ridge Lane Galax, Va..
