Maggie Adaline Jones' Obituary
Maggie Adaline Jones, age 96, of Galax, VA died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, in the Golden Living & Rehab Center, Galax.
Miss Jones was born Sept. 20, 1912 in Carroll County to Sidney and Mintie Ethel Cox Jones.
She is survived by four nieces and spouses, Linda Hill and Larry, Karen Semones & Terry, Beverly Jones & Ronald, Brenda Strauss & Mark, three nephews and spouse, Glenn & Bobbie Jones, Jerel Jones, Leslie Carico, sister, Gladie Carico of Roanoke Rapids, NC and sister-in-law, Goldie Jones of Galax. Special friends also survive, Mae Poe and Oritha Poe.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the River Hill Christian Church with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Officiating minister is Leo Phillips. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church.
