Madge Bryant Kirby age 86 of Galax, Va. passed away Sunday, March 4, 2007 at Waddell Nursing Home. She was born in Grayson County, Va. on January 13, 1921 to the late Joseph Kenneth and Mary Lovelace Bryant. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joe G. Kirby, Jr.. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Joe G. & Susan Kirby, III of Salem, Va.; Robert K. & Barbara Kirby; S. Thomas & Linda Kirby all of Galax, Va.; sister Virginia Chandler of Rocky Mount, N.C.; six grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the First Christian Church with Rev. Casey McKenna and Rev. James Cowley officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from six until eight at the First Christian Church.
