Madeline Perkins Stowers' Obituary
Madeline Perkins Stowers, devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother was called home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2008. Madeline died at 8:02 A.M. at Twin County Community Hospital after a prolonged battle with cancer.
She was born March 11, 1936 in Marion, Virginia to Wright and Laura Eldreth Perkins.
Survivors include her beloved husband and partner, Don C. Stowers of the home, two daughters, Judi C. DaVico and husband, Allen of Centreville, VA and Deborah J. Schraeder and husband, Steven of Littleton, CO; and three grandchildren, Aaron Leicher and wife Tracie, Tyler and Benjamin Schraeder.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at West Galax United Methodist Church on Tuesday October 21, 2008 from 6PM to 8PM.
Funeral services will be conducted at the West Galax United Methodist Church on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joe Carrico and Rev. Rodney Christman officiating. Burial will follow at the Monta Vista Cemetery.
Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to West Galax United Methodist Church or the Galax Rescue Squad.
