Mable Irene Lundy's Obituary
Mable Irene Lundy, widow of William Chapman Lundy, Jr. age 84, of Galax, VA, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA.
She was born in West Virginia, Sept. 4, 1924, to Clyde & Willie Davis Isaacs.
Mrs. Lundy is suvived by one son & daughter-in-law, Dennis & Sandra Lundy, Bristol, TN and one daughter & son-in-law, Marlene & Greg Rudy, Galax, VA; sister, Allene Becker, Dell Rapids, SD, brothers, Grayson Isaacs, Jacksonville, FL, Gordon Isaacs, Canton, Ohio, Joe Isaacs, Independence, VA, Ray Isaacs, Galax, VA; one grandson, David Lundy, Knoxville, TN, a niece, Kathy Smythers and several other nieces & nephews.
A graveside service & burial will be held Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, 2:00 PM at the Galax City Cemetery with the Rev. Sam Blevins officiating. There will be no visitation and the family wishes to extend a special thanks to Milo Day "Wong" and all others who visited Mrs. Lundy in the nursing home.
