Lura Virginia Bartlett age 100 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Bartlett was born on June 11, 1915 in Grayson County, Virginia to Steve and Maggie Patton Leagan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Mack Bartlett; daughters Betty Bryant and Beatrice Eastridge; grandson Mike Bryant; brothers Hobert Leagan, Roy Leagan, French Leagan and Rufus Leagan.

She is survived by her sister Mary Bonn of Baltimore, Maryland; grandsons and spouse, Barry and Donna Eastridge, Chris Eastridge, all of Galax, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Carrie Bryant, Jordon
Bryant, Tara Eastridge, Hunter Bryant;
sons-in-law, Wade Eastridge & Gene Bryant; several nieces and nephews; special nephew, Ted Bartlett; grand-dogs, Dorothy, Pepper, & Ty.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Bible Baptist Church. The family request that all food be taken to the Bible Baptist Church.
