Lula M. Gordon age 74 of Galax, Va. passed away Thursday night December 28, 2006 in Twin County Regional Hospital. She was born in Smyth County, Va. on December 29, 1931 to the late Floyd & Melissa (Lissie) Harrington Hamm. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Billy J. Gordon and son-in-law Gary Brown. She is survived by her daughters & son-in-law Mary Lou Brown of Galax, Va.; Peggy Ann & John Richards of Fries, Va.; special son-in-law Jerry Hodges; sister & brother-in-law Sybil & Robert Middaugh of Brandon, Florida; brother & sister-in-law Larry & Twila Hamm of Greensboro, N.C.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Sunday December 31, 2006 at 3:30 PM at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Holder and Rev. Doug Hyndrich officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM until service time at Fairview Baptist Church.
