Lucille Fields Leath, age 84, of Baywood Community, Galax, VA, died in Winchester, VA Oct. 2, 2010.
Mrs. Leath was born Feb. 3, 1926 in Grayson County, VA to Isaac Fields and Celia Murray Fields.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leath; brothers, Chancy Fields, Vancy Fields and Dan Fields.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, James and Tammie Leath of Galax,; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Terry Andrews, Winchester, VA; two grandchildren and spouses, Sherrie and Jeff Wilson, Galax, James and Angie Andrews, Christiansburg, VA; three great-grandchildren, Cortney Burnette, Aaron Wilson, Reece Wilson; sister and brother-in-law, Stella & Johnny Anders of Galax as well as several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at the Savannah United Methodist Church, Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at 11:00 AM with burial in the Monta Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. Mark Carico and the Rev. Jeff Callahan.
Flowers are appreciated, however, memorial contributions may be made to the Baywood Rescue Squad, Savannah United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601 - Phone # 1-800-238-5678.
