Lucille Mae Jordan age 83 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in the Golden Living-Blue Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Jordan was born on May 7, 1929 in Sioux City, Iowa to Charles Thomas and Donna Leona Lyons Christman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Edward Jordan; daughter Brends Sue Wooten; son Junior Ray Wooten; sisters Annie Faye Tate, Little Doris Christman and Little Betty Christman; brother George Aaron Christman.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Leisha Lucille and Jack Spurlin of Fries, Virginia; grandchildren Misty Ann Spurlin, Christi Dianna Spurlin and Jonathan Luke Spurlin; sister and brother-in-law Glenda Dale and Carl Funk of Galax, Virginia; brothers Donald Clifton Christman of Elkin, North Carolina, Earl Morris Christman and James Kyle Christman both of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; several special friends.

The funeral service will be held Friday, August 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Grace Baptist Church with Evangelist Emmett Tate, Rev. Barry Newman and Nancy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
