Louise Jewel Savage age 66 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
Mrs. Savage was born on January 3, 1944 in Carroll County, Va. to Lloyd & Ruth Burnette Hill.
She is survived by her husband James K. Savage of Galax, Va.; daughters & son-in-law Tina Louise Newman; Sharon A. & Eric S. Hale all of Galax, Va.; son Richard Allen Warf of Galax,Va.; sisters Margaret Ring & Freeda Warf both of Galax, Va.; brothers Grady Hill; Dallas Hill & Rex Hill all of Galax, Va.; Roy Hill of Mt. Airy, N.C.; several grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Oakland United Methodist Church where the body will lie-in-state one hour prior the funeral service. Rev. John Ousley & Pastor Russell Payne will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
