Louis B. McGrady age 88 of Galax, Va. passed away Tuesday morning at Waddell Nursing Home. Mr. McGrady was born in Carroll County, Va. on July 24, 1920 to Luke & Ola Lewis McGrady. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Ann McGrady and a sister Virginia Lowe. He is survived by his wife Stella M. McGrady; daughter & son-in-law Glenda & Ted Light; son & daughter-in-law Louis, Jr. & Argie McGrady all of Galax, Va.; sisters-in-law & spouse Hazel & Bill Horton of Hillsville, Va.; Velma Horton & Vida Bowman both of Laurel Fork, Va.; brother-in-law Elmer Lowe of Galax, Va.; grandson Jeff McGrady and great-grandson Garrett McGrady also survives. The funeral service will be held Friday, November 28, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ernie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
