Lou Edna Adkins age 86 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Adkins was born on May 23, 1927 in Twin Oaks, North Carolina to Will and Nellie Edwards Stamper.
She is survived by her husband Hugh Adkins of Galax, Virginia; daughter Nellie McBride of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Huey and Carmen Adkins of Germany; Harvey and Iona Adkins of Woodlawn, Virginia; siblings and spouses Pauline Leonard; Louise Blevins; Joe and Nancy Stamper all of Galax, Virginia; Charles and Sandra Stamper of Woodlawn, Virginia; Demmie and Lacey Bowman; Ella Ruth Stoneman all of Galax,
Virginia; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Billy Goad officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
