Lorine Blankenship Johnson age 76 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, July 11,2021 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Lorine was born on October 15, 1944 in Panther, West Virginia to Elias and Patty Allen Blankenship. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Julius (Duckie) Johnson.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Pamela and Venton Smith of Woodlawn, Virginia; Patricia Dunford Vaughan and Josh; Corine Johnson all of Galax, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Corine and Emmanuel Goad of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Russell and Betty Blankenship of Hillsville, Virginia; two grandchildren Michael Dunford and Tiara Johnson; two great-grandchildren Lakeah Johnson and Braelynn Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Minister Charlie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends  Thursday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
