Loretta Lee Bond, 88, of Fries passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023 in Galax Health and Rehab.

Lorretta was born December 25, 1934  in Fries, Virginia to the late Earl Snow and Pearl Moore Snow.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Bond; son Billy Bond;  sisters Gertrude Tate, Sadie Thomas, Roberta Goad,  and brother Junior Snow.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Sue and Mike Chappell  of Galax; and Mona and George Archer of Ivanhoe; son and daughter-in-law Virgil and Carol Bond of Fancy Gap. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren; six great grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; special sister-in-law: Lucille Glasco; special friend Willie Davis, several nieces and nephews, along with numerous friends.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Titus Anderson officiating.  Interment will follow in Monta Vista Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until time for the service.
