Lonnie Wade Hodge known as Wade Hodge age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, June 9, 2025 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mr. Hodge was born on May 2, 1938 in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina to Lonnie and Roxie White Hodge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Christine Morris Hodge; sisters Betty Ruth Brown; Minnie Vaughan and Patsy Lowe and brother Luke Hodge.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Rene' and Mike Funk of Galax, Virginia; grandsons and wife Nick Barr; Allen Anders and April; three great-grandchildren Trent Anders; Connor Anders; Nathan Anders; sisters-in-law and husband Velma and Roger Jones; Helen Hodge all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; many close friends; His Buddy Tom, his cat.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the Oakland Cemetery with Pastor Myron Dalton officiating. There will not be a visitation at the funeral home.
