Lola Rita South age 90 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 in Twin County Regional
Hospital.
Mrs. South was born on April 25, 1920 in Carroll County, Virginia to Grove and Della Cox Lowe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Troy Surratt.
She is survived by a son Charles Surratt of Galax, Va.; grandchildren Joyce Surratt, Melissa Surratt and Troy Goad; great-grandchildren Ian Ashworth, A.J. Ashworth, Matthew Bowman and Aylssa Bowman and a brother Boyd Lowe of Galax, Va..
A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Ron Fredericks officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
