Lois Yvonne York age 80 of Mt. Airy, North Carolina passed away Saturday June 12,2021 in the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.

Mrs. York was born in Randolph County, North Carolina on October 7,1940 to Ray Bascom and Mabel Frances Cox Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Curtis York.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Sheila Marie and Donnie Reynolds of Wytheville, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Dr. Jeff York of Asheboro, North Carolina; Timothy Steven and Debra York of Galax, Virginia; Jesse Ray and Judy York of Asheboro, North Carolina; Kevin Todd and Katherine S. York of Sea Grove, North Carolina; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Great Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Tim York and Dr. Jeff York officiating.  Burial will follow in the Great Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
