Lois Evelyn Ramey, age 89, Galax, VA, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 at Waddell Nursing Home, Galax, VA.
Mrs. Ramey was born July 5, 1925 in Grayson County, VA to Elmer and Gertrude Lundy Wilson. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Robert Ramey, brothers and sisters in law, Billy and Catherine Wilson, Bobby & Louise Wilson and Terry Wilson.
She is survived by daughters & son-in-law, Judy Isom, Fries, VA; Betty & Randy Andrews, Winston Salem, NC; grandchildren & spouses, Tim Isom, Steven & Marie Isom, Kevin & Donna Jenkins, Jeff & Jami Jenkins, Carrie & Andy Snipes; sisters & brother-in-law, Carol Dean Bartlett, Burlington, NC and Linda & David Morris, Roanoke, VA; sister-in-law, Ruth Ramey; great-grandchildren, Dylan Isom, Katie Isom, Carrie Isom, Nathan Jenkins, Kara & Dennis Rodriguez and Isabel Snipes. Several nieces & nephews, also, survive.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014 in the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel, Galax, VA at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Felts Cemetery. The family will receive friends from seven until nine PM Monday, Oct. 20, 2014 at the Vaughan Guynn Funeral Home. Officiating minister will be Gary Wilson.
