Lois Grey Murphy age 71 of Mt. Airy, N.C. passed away Monday, October 15, 2007 in Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Murphy was born on November 14, 1935 in Grayson County, Va. to Roy & Elsie Carr Murphy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Bagford and daughter Vanessa Lunsford. She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law Charlotte & Dale Alger of Hillsville, Va.; sons & daughter-in-law Mike Leonard of Galax, Va.; Wayne & Debbie Murphy of Lexington, N.C.; brother Jackie Murphy of North Carolina; ten grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
