Lois "Lefty" Frazier Webb, 84, of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Lewis-Gale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Lefty was born on August 1, 1930 in Fries, Virginia to Stewart and Hattie Evans Frazier. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" M. Webb, two sisters, Dorothy McGuire and Lorene Caudell, and brother, Ben Frazier.
She is survived by two children and their spouses, Phillip and Karen Webb of Galax, Virginia, Jay and Becky Guynn of Woodlawn, Virginia; her brother and sister-in-law Wilmer and Sarah Frazier of Fredericksburg, Virginia; five grandchildren Jack (Emily), Rob and Alix Guynn, Lacy (Justin) Upchurch and Jamie Webb, one great-grandchild, William Upchurch, and several nieces and nephews.
Lefty was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Galax. She loved working in her flower gardens, dancing, and spending time with her family. She played basketball at Spartanburg Jr. College and would often reminisce about those times; she enjoyed watching her grandchildren play basketball as well as watching games on television. For many years she enjoyed playing bridge with friends. She was a precious daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend to all. She always wanted to do and provide for others and she will be forever missed.
The family wants to express its utmost appreciation for the care and lovingness provided to Lefty by Warm Hearth Village over the past several years.
The funeral service will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the First United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the First United Methodist Church or to the Chestnut Creek School of Arts.
