Lois Virginia Cheek age 80 of Glade Valley, North Carolina passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Cheek was born in Alleghany County, N.C. on June 24,1928 to Richard & Nell Bryant Gentry. She is survived by her sons & daughter-in-law Donald Richard Cheek of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Earl Dean & Elva Cheek of Greensboro, N.C.; sister Louise Royal of Glade Valley, N.C.; brother Johnny Gentry of Burlington, N.C.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 27, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Glade Valley Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Elder Kyle Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
