Loella Stanley Mathena's Obituary
Loella Stanley Mathena age 92 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Mathena was born in Grayson County Virginia on June 12, 1931 to Wesley Cole and Alice Viola Taylor Stanley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Dexter Mathena; an infant brother and three sisters Annie Jones, Alma Perlenia Wooten and Ruby Barber.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Curtis Christian officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
